I am so glad to hear from you. It was your note that caught my eye. Since then I have heard from one others who are related to this family via the Erdahl's. I have written to Lori Ann of California whose mother was my grandmother, Delores Erdahl Crocker Burns' step-sister or half sister. It is her mom's obituary/memorial she has posted.
Now I am hearing from distant relatives of my great-grandmother, Katrina Kryger Crocker Treen. Small world.
I met your uncle once when he was here visiting, maybe 2 times.
A few weeks ago I went to see my grandmother, Jigg's sister and told her that I had posted a note to you. She dearly loved her brothers but is not at all thrilled about genealogy or that anyone cares about the past. Her childhood was painful and the mention of the names makes her angry to some degree and she rejects any chance to share them memories, or even names.
Are you from the South too? I will let Grandma know of his influence on you to enter the military. Maybe some nice reference to her brother would warm her some! Lorrie
