Dear Lorrie, After an extended computer outage, I was looking around for new developments in GenForum and ran across these postings again. I'm sorry about the recent passings and will let Harold's wife, Ella, know just in case she is unaware. Ella is 86 and going strong. Her oldest sister, Bessie is 89. They can work cirles around all of us still cutting their own grass with push mowers. I hope I am so lucky. My mom and their baby sister died in Jan 98 and we have really missed her. Not a day goes by that I don't start to pick up the phone to call her. I also noticed that there are quite a few replies that I have not read. I will included this info in my data base even though "Papa Jiggs" (Harold) was not blood related. He was always my favorite - funny, full of life and like a father to me when I was young. He spent a good part of his life in the Navy and talked me into joining when I finished high school. I retired with 20 years in 1995, but actually served 25 for pay. Harold and Ella had no children together. Lita visited a few times. Rick was a great artist - mostly stuff like you see in tatoos, but he should have persued it. I thought Rick was Lita's brother, but maybe not. I wish you all good hunting in your family research and let me know if I can help.
