Did any of the members of your family emigrate to Illinois or Iowa? My 2nd great grandmother was Katherine Erbes. I am having difficulty tracing her family line. The information I have is that her father was Daniel Erbes and her mother was Kauner Kenegunde. I also have information that states that her mother was Catherine Kenegunde.

I have traced them to the Bureau County, IL area about 1860, but I have nothing prior to that. And the little bit of information I have, I am not able to confirm through any sort of reliable source.
