My father's family history shows Narcissus Epting's husband, Adam Isadore Hipp ( 1840,d.1893), Their children were: (1)Lulu Hipp, married Starling, (2) Lizzie Hipp (b. 1867, d. ca.Jan. 1952,Married Frazer (3) James Otis Hipp (my grandfather b.Nov. 7, 1869, d. Sept. 17, 1956,Balto.,MD., married Sallie Louise Reynolds,b. May 30, 1875,S.C. d. Mar.2,1949, Balto.,MD. Married Sept.8, 1898 in New York City. I have the wedding certificate. A witness at the wedding was her married sister. Perhaps they went there because she was there. (4)Adam [Augustus]Hipp b.5 Oct.1879 in Newberry,Newberry,S.C. (from 1910 SC census), D. June20,1961, married Eva?? There is no mention of Amer in this record. James Otis and Sallie resided later in Winston Salem N.C. where they had their children: (1) Louise Hipp b.June 16,1899,d.Nov.5,1900 (2) James Edward Hipp b.Feb.26,1901 d.June 5, 1995 Married Emma Elizabeth Roth, Jun 2, 1930 in Balto.MD,[my parents] (2)Eva Mae Hipp(b.Jan.9,1904,d. Apr.12,1988) Married Charles Herbert Roth (b. Jul 4, 1904,d.Oct.31, 1978)married Jun. 20 1927. (3) William Preston Hipp (b.Mar.30,1906,d. Jan. 20,1944)never married.
(4) George Dowdy Hipp (b. Jan.28,1908, d. Oct.8, 1965) married Ellen Cunningham, Divorced. Had one child, George Norman Hipp, (b. Mar 17, 1980.
