Dear Norma--thanks for the info. Unfortunately, this is not the Ann that I am seeking. The Ann who married William Nance must have been born in the early 1700's. I am not completely sure that this Ann was an Eppes. However, I have heard conjecture from several researchers who believe this is the case. I know for sure that William was closely associated with the Eppes family. Sometimes it is very hard to determine the maiden names of one's female ancestors because there are so few records for women. However, I will keep searching. I would like some proof on the subject and was hoping that L. J. Shepeard who had written just after your message might know something. Thanks again!
