William Henry Epperson died 6 Dec, 1923 and is buried in the Leech Cemetery off Highway 47 between Charlotte and White Bluff, the same cemetery as Nora and Shirley. I think this may indicate he was livng with his daughter at the time of death. Ella is not mentioned as buried there. My guess is she died and was buried in Humphreys County. The tombstone indicates William was a mason.
The1890 census has a Martha L. Epperson as William's wife. Says she married in 1874. I found copy of their marriage certificate. Says had been married 26 years which of course is ten years off. It should have been 16. Someone was not good in math.
Spicer/Brown tree indicates William Epperson born in Dec 1846 and married Ella Larkins 31 March 1874 in Humphreys County.
The 1880 census has living with William and Ella, Hance Clark larkins age 64 and daughter Laura 28. She would have been Ella's sister.
William's parents were Anthony born around 1802 and Ellen Eleanor Box born 1810.
Northern Dickson County is beautiful. My brother is restoring an old brick office buiding (1810) that was associated with the iron works at Cumberland Furnace. He bought the oldtrain depot and is going to do the same with it. He is doingessentially all of it himself. Drive over and take a look at it. My two brothers will be working there this week.
