Sort of odd how the names match up but a generation removed, doesn't it? Travis Guthrie and younger brother, John Guthrie, settled in the northern district of Halifax Co., VA.; having migrated there from Cumberland Co., VA.
I can't place George Guthrie with either of these men so I'm thinking he might be related to them but belonged to one of the other relatives still in Cumberland Co., VA.
He may have come to Halifax Co., met Susan Epperson and
married, then moved back north to Cumberland Co. or its adjacent neighbor, Buckingham Co.
