The parents of Moses Epps were Joshua Epps of Halifax Co., who died in 1778 and whose wife was named Betty in his will. Besides Moses, the other children of Joshua Epps were John, Edey, Dicey, William, Mary, Nathaniel, Isham, Betty, Patty, Millicen, Amey, and Temperance.
