Agnes, is he the Johann Epp who lived in Hanhsau, Samara Province, east of Saratov, Russia and who took most of the residents with him to Turkistan? If so, just yesterday I found out from my father that the greatgrandson of that Johann Epp lives here in Angwin, California! He has told my father that he has a book about his Epp ancestors and even some escape stories. We're going to try to get a copy made of his book, and to get Mr. Epp to tell his escape stories, so we can get them recorded.
