The 1880 census shows Joseph J. Eoff and wife, Cinderella,
(Cincriller on the 1880 census) living in Boone Co, Arkansas, Summit Township. Cinderella was listed as 43
born Ky, fa b. Va mo b. Va. All their children were born in Arkansas. The two oldest daughters were named Lucinda
and Eliza. Note the Ely daughters' names on the 1850 census.
The 1850 census index for the state of Arkansas was checked for the given name Cinderella and only one Cinderella was born in Kentucky. The year of birth, the
birthplace and the parents' birthplaces match the information for Cinderella (___) Eoff on the 1880 census.

Please note that Robert Eoff and Alexander Eoff, brothers
of Joseph Jackson Eoff, resided in Newton Co, Mill Creek
Arkansas in 1860. They were #89 and 91 respectively.
They would have known their neighbors, Elgin Ely & family.
Another bit of information is the 1840 census which lists
Elgin R Ely in Ohio Co, Kentucky. The family was listed
as one male under 5, 1 male 20-30; 2 females under 5, one
female 20-30.
If this connection proves to be correct, there is excellent
information on-line for these Elys. I found that Elgin
Ely married Elizabeth "Betsy" Vanover 11 January, 1835 in
Lee Co, Virginia. Genealogy.com has a posting on the Ely
Family Genealogy Forum by Arthur Reece #618 that takes
this Ely family line back to Thomas Ely b. abt 1730 in
England.
