Shirley - Not sure just where the Eoff's come into the Parker picture, My books are all a mess and it will take a few days to locate. Please be patient and I WILL get back to you. In answer to your Parker family question, Samuel Parker and wife Elizabeth Mace & children left Virginia (W.VA) abt. 1835 for Des Moines, Iowa. They left Des Moines for Oregon May 1845. Took the Meek Cut Off out of Fort Boise (Idaho) and were lost in the Oregon High Desert for several weeks. Several deaths occurred before rescue. Elizabeth Mace Parker and 2 yr dau. died from fever and childbirth at The Dalles in September 1845. Parker and children rafted down Columbia River and canoed up the Willamette R. arriving Oregon City late Sept. 1845. Samuel m. Rosetta Spears English, widow of William English who died on the trail. To this marriage came, among other children, my grandfather, Samuel Franklin Parker on 08 May 1835. I don't believe the elder Samuel Parker had a middle name. Never heard anybody mention it! He, at one time was an Oregon Provisional legislator and an Oregon State Legislature, A marshal and a Marion county postmaster and of all the official letters he signed, I've yet to see a middle name or initial. Best to you Dick
