Hi, Lew. First, let me cite differences in the 1860 census, as transcribed for me by Gerald Martin:
Kezia, age 4 (born c. 1856)
Reuben, age 11 (born c. 1849)
My records show that Nathan ENSOR (age 34 in 1860 census) was Nathan Aaron ENSOR, born 8/6/1822, son of Nicholas and Ellen (WELLS) ENSOR. Nathan m. (1) Keziah Green on 11/5/1843 or 11/6/1843, by license dated 10/31/1843. She died in childbirth in (March?) 1856 (one record gives the date as 2/1/1856, although the 2 might be a 3). (According to Charles Stoddard, however, Kezziah d. 11/27/1856 shortly after birth of Kezziah Ann.) Her last child was Keziah Ann (born on 11/23/1856 or possibly 3/23/1856) who may have m. John Wesley BAUBLITZ (on 8/22/1872?). The other children of Nathan and Keziah ENSOR were Rachel Jane (born 4/25/1845), Joshua (11/3/1847), John Thomas (5/12/1849, d. 1851), Reuben (9/20/1851-4/21/1933; m. 10/4/1873 Mary UMPHRIES), Franklin (aka Frank, 12/24/1854, m. Laura PRESLEY). Nathan m. (2) Catherine Emma WRIGHT 10/4/1859, by Balto. Co. license dated 10/3/1859. She was born 10/15/1838, which roughly corresponds to Kate ENSOR whose age was shown as 22 as of census day 1 June 1860.
Nathan and family left MD between Jan. 1867 and Dec. 1868, thereafter residing in Nodaway Co., MO, until at least Jan. 1877. Then, they migrated to Bell Co., TX. At this time, I cannot find any additional records of your Joshua ENSOR who was born in 1847 and m. Martha Ellen ___.
A few months ago, I researched at Balto. Co. Gen. Soc., Hist. Soc. of Balto. Co., and MD Hist. Soc., but was unable to ascertain Keziah (GREEN) ENSOR's parentage.
