Would appreciate any additional information re: the following Melvina ENSOR:

Melvina ENSOR EDWARDS THOMAS ESPY BONDURANT REAVIS
was the daughter of my ancestor Catherine SERROT PYLE ENSOR by her second husband

My ancestor, Catherine SERROT married Smith PYLE [her first marriage, his second] in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OHIO It has been difficult to locate parents for Catherine, although her marriage application to Thomas ENZER/ENSOR indicates she was born in France...was more likely the French Grant of Scioto County, OHIO. There were several SERROT families there, including a cousin also named Catherine who was just a month older than my Catherine. Since both of them appear in the 1860 censuses...one in Schuyler County, Illinois and mine in Bracken County, Kentucky they are separate individuals.

In each census there is discrepancy in Catherine's state of birth:
!1850 Census OH Hamilton Co., 24 Jul 1850 by Liberty JENKS 3rd Ward
Cincinnati pg 193 Dw/175 Fam190 Catharine PYLE age 22 bp PA
Smith PYLE 36 m nailor $300 PA
Catherine " 22 f PA
M. I. " 13 f school TN
Ettinse " 2 f OH
Aquilla " 5/12 m OH

(M.I. is the daughter of Smith PYLE and his first wife, Hannah PARKS whom he married in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee 14 Apr 1836]
1849/1850 PYLES, Smith, nail cutter, Ss High e of Parsons.
(Note: probably this is where the family lived in 1850 census)

Catherine in census records:
1860 Census KY Bracken Co. pg 7 Dw/Fam41 Catherine PYLE age 35 bp KY

1870 Census KY Bracken Co.; Dw/Fam 312 Catherine ENSER age 44 bp TN

1880 Census KY Bracken Co.; pg 33 Dw/Fam 404 Catherine ENZER age 53 bp PA
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Smith died sometime after the 1860 census and on 5 Jun 1864 Catherine married Thomas ENSOR a neighboring farmer, native of Washington County, Tennessee. They had two children, Melvina and Martha. Martha never married; Melvina made up for it by marrying 5 times, but not all husbands or records have been found.
Believed to be first was to a Mr/ EDWARDS, by whom Melvina had Hattie Rose.
Not sure of the order, but believed to be next is to John Henry THOMAS circa 1886-7
The only John Henry THOMAS livsted as age 23 in the 1990 Kentucky census is from the following family:
Name Relation Marital Status Gender Race Age Birthplace Occupation Father's Birthplace Mother's Birthplace
