I am fairly new to family genealogy. I am looking for information on Jacob Ensminger who had a daughter named Catherine who was married to a James Smith who is my ggg grandfather. He was born in Pa. and was living with his daughter and son-in-law in the 1850 census of Waterford, Washington, Ohio. I've searched this forum for Jacob but unless I'm doing something wrong I cant find him, I noticed a Connie Cave looking for him too but I have not been able to contact her, no response from her email. Other searches having listed him as the son of Nicholas are very confusing, since there are so many available. Just wondering if anyone had a definitive listing.
