I'm looking for information on the John Ensminger (b. 1856) (middle init. F. or S.?) who married Hattie (Harriet) Hoffman (b. 1861) in Seneca Co., OH on 9 Mar 1880. They appeared in the 1880 census in Fostoria, Seneca Co., (named spelled Ensmenger, Hattie listed as Hatta). Hattie apparently died in Dec 1907 in or near Seneca Co., but I can't find any trace of them in 1900. John MAY be the son of Milton Ensminger of Wood Co., OH. In 1860 Milton and a group of young people lived in Montgomery Twp., Wood Co. This John is the right age (b. 1856). He is NOT the John W. Ensminger of Perry Co., OH. Sibling names from 1860 included Charles, Caroline, Sapona, Willington, Milton, Jr., Clark, and possibly Phebe and Julia (hard to tell if some could be wives). Joanne Gaudio
