I have seen several notations that indicate Henrich Peter, who married Maria Catharina Ensminger in 1731 in Woerth, Alsace, was born about 1700 in Metting, Moselle, Lorraine.

They are direct ancestors, and I would like to know if anyone knows the source of that birth information. I haven't been able to find a birth or christening record for him to date. I am trying to determine his family of origin, past his father's name of Jacob, given in their marriage record. There is no further mention of this family in Woerth's Lutheran church records.
