Re: Peter Ensminger & Rebecca Reese that was posted Oct 8, 2001 The Peter Ensminger you are referring to, was my Great-Grandfather. My grandfather was John Reese Ensminger, married to Sarah Snavely Ensminger. I am the daugher of one of their thirteen children, Daniel Snavely Ensminger. Peter Ensminger is buried in the Steelstown Cemetery, , which is in Lebanon County, north of Palmyra, Pennsylvania. John Reese Ensminger is burred at the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra, as are Daniel, my dad, and my aunts and uncles. (Here is a note of interest. The REESE candy of Hershey, Penna. is related to the Reese line noted here??never checked it out further or knew them.) All the sons of Peter and Rebecca were given the middle name of Reese. When John Reese Ensminger and Sarah Snavely Ensminger, had sons, they got Snavely as middle names. Their first girl was named Rebecca Ensminger. her sister named Violet. The names of their boys were: Rudolph, John, Daniel, Paul, Victor and Joseph. The rest of their children died in infancy, or an early age. I had two brothers, John and Henry , but they are both dead. I still have cousins back in Palmyra, that I am close to and we keep in touch. There is one of Peter's sons (Henry or Peter) that my remaing family has not been able to get information on. All we know is that he went "out west" and was married there, and was somehow connected to a mine / or manager there. Would like to find out about it or descendants. From: Minerva Ensminger born 6-23-1924 - living in Washington state now. How are you related to my family line?
