Am looking for others who are researching the Illinois Ensmingers. Specifically: Mariah Ann Ensminger who married Pleasant Lewis Ward, 17 Sept. 1838, Gallatin County, Illinois. (By 1860 they are living in Williamson County, Illinois) Marmaduke S. Ensminger, likely brother of Mariah Ann and brother-in-law of Pleasant Lewis Ward. Marmaduke and Pleasant are also business partners in a dry good store, Vienna, Johnson County, Illinois, 1840s. Catherine Ensminger, born about 1790-1795, Virginia. Living 1840 & 1850 in Gallatin County, Illinois. By 1860 census she is in Williamson County, Illinois. Emanuel Ensiminger, possibly Catherine's husband, age 50-60 in 1830 census of Gallatin County, Illinois. Eliza Ensminger who married Issac M. Lewis, 24 Oct 1850, Gallatin County, Illinois. They appear on the 1860 census of Williamson County, Illinois. I am interested in learning more about the Ensmingers and how they relate to the Ward and Lewis families of Southern Illinois. Also, where were these Ensmingers before they settled in Gallatin County, Illinois? Thanks, in advance, for any help. Debbie
