It is so very good to hear from you, cousin This is remarkable information.

Lula Mae Ensley was my grand aunt, though I never knew her.
She was also my 5th cousin 2 times removed through our common ancestors William Bryson, Jr. and Isabella Holmes.

She was also my 18th cousin 3 times removed through our common ancestors Prince John of Gaunt and Catherine Swynford Roet. (Prince John was son of Edward III).

My grandfather Ensley, and sister Lula Mae, were 18th great-grandchildren of Edward III and Queen Isabelle.

As for the Ensleys' origin, I had evidence that the earliest in the US was possibly a John Angley, whose son was Solomon Ansley. This is not proven, and your theory about a Simon Annesley is intriguing, especially since I have tried to link our Ensleys with the Annesleys of England, who are very historic. Some "experts" say that Ensley only comes from the German name Anselm, and make no allowance for the English surname Ansley being at least occasionally changed to Ensley. They are obviously narrow minded in their view.

Below is a link to my family tree, specifically showing my Ensley ancestral line beginning with my grandfather, Franklin McKinley Ensley:
