That is all I have on that generation ... I copied it from a paper with some other family bits and pieces written on it. However, at Ancestry.com., I saw the wife of John Ensley listed as Hanna. Could that be her other given name? Anyone know?

Thier son, gggg grandfather, James William Ensley
born 1781 (?) m. 2 Jan. 1806 to Elizabeth Ann Brown, b. 1785. Married #2, Sarah Bivens. James d. 1872 and is buried in Turkey Creek Church Cemetery, Leicester, Buncombe Co., N.C.

Their son, my ggg grandfather, was Samuel Bruce Ensley, b. 19 Jun., 1829. He died in Madison Co., N.C. 14 Sept., 1896. He married Rachel Cassida, b. 1835 ?, 11 Jan. 1855. He is buried at Flint Hill Baptist Church, she at Nelson Farm Private Cem., Hays Run, Madison Co., N.C.
