I think the town you want is Shanagolden (without the M). However, Shanagolden is also the parish name so don't rule out any townland in that parish. I have done some research in the area because my Sullivans (who later married an Enright) were from Loughill parish next door. I assume you have looked through Griffiths Valuation in 1852. However, when I was in Dublin at th Nat'l Library I got a chance to look at the 1846 Famine Relief manuscript for the Shanagolden area. I recorded the Enrights and this is what I found: () means the number in the family.
Ballycormick, Shanagolden-
Ann Enright (widow) (5)
Morgan " (6)

Cloonites of Shanagolden and Kilmoylan-
David Enright (4); very poor
Dennis Enright(8); poor
John Enright (6); very poor
Nicholas Enright(11)

Corgrig, Shanagolden-
Thomas Enright, labourer, (3)

Finno(??) (Whiskey Hole) Kilmoylan=
Patt Enright, labourer (3)
Tom Enright, labourer (3)
W. Enright, (14) 47 acres

Kimeheer- (not sure of parish)
Connor Enright (7)
Mick Enright (2)
Patt Enright (6)
Patt Enright (3)

Shanagolden, Shanagolden
John Enright, shopkeeper (4)
Michael Enright , labourer (3)

St.Senan's Catholic Church records start in the early 1820's so you can probably find Daniel's baptism. Unfortunately, the records aren't available in the US on microfilm. You can write to the pastor but I know that he is inundated from Australian requests. I suggest you send a church donation to help with any mailing costs.

Good luck
