I am sorry none of the ENOS searchers have responded to your inquiry. Maybe I can help or at least get it started. In my searches of the past few years I have found at least two very separate origins of the ENOS name. My line is said to have originated in France, then came to America by way of Ireland. Early spellings varied alot with some suggestions as HENNOT to ENNO to ENO to ENO'S. I have seen my own line spelled Enis, Eanos and Enas. Where I live here in Hawaii ENOS is a common name and nearly all are of Portuguese origin as are many of the ENOS families of early California. My suggestion: post all you know about this earliest ENOS relative on this forum with a subject line: ENOS,John Doe, TX b. 1888 (as an example) don't write "Searching for Grandpa" as most cognizant searchers will simply skip over such posts. Good Luck, Jim Enos
