Family Tree DNA , It's awsome

I would just like to share my experiences with DNA. I have only just ordered a test kit for my mothers brother which is my Innis line. But I have been a member of the Williams DNA group and have had awsome results from that. I had researched my Williams line for about 10 years and learned more from that DNA test than from all them years of research. Brick walls crumbled down around me, and if I only have half the success with my Innis family DNA it will still be a major break threw. You can either go to familytreedna.com or try and find a group to get a discount and it will likely still be threw Family Tree DNA. All it takes is a credit card. When you get the test kit in the mail, all it is, is a cotton swab to the inside of a male Ennis's cheek of his mouth, simple. Mail it to Family Tree DNA. If you go to familytreedna.com and look up in the top right corner you will see a box for your kit number and a box for your password. You will get these when tested and you can log in any time. It will show you your DNA matches, there email addresses, if you click on the box to the right of there name, it will break it down for you and show you the percentage of chance that you share an Ennis grandfather with that person by generations back. It might show 50% chance at 6 generations. 65% at 8 generations 85% at 12 generations, 99.9% at 20 generations etc. It will very with different matches. Then the people you match will be there with the records they have and you with yours. It's awsome people. The higher the number of markers test you go the better the test. If the cheapest is all you can afford. That DNA will be stored in a fridge at family tree dna for 20 years and any time you want to upgrade, all you have to do is pay for what ever up grade in markers you want, the DNA is already there. When ever some one gets DNA tested and there a match, family tree dna will email you and tell you about it. It's awsome. In this day and age, only fools hunt with out DNA. You can think that costs to much and then get nickled and dimed to death doing research when you could just get DNA tested and have the people you match give you them old records you spend money hunting for given to you for free by them and then some. Lets go people, lets knock them brick walls down with DNA. For those that match my family, I will see you there at Family Tree DNA. Dan
