My Grt. Grd father's brother was a William Ennis, brn 1828 in or near Kirkistown, County Down. Father, John, brn Kircubbin Glen, & mother, Mary (McCoy??). William by our family history died following being shot in Montana outside a bank. William had 9 siblings. Flora brn 1815, Brice 1818, Brice 1820, John 1823, Nathanial 1825, William 1828, Sarah 18?? Ruth Ellen 1832, Mary 1835 and David my Grt.grd.father was born in 1837. 1 sibling died as an infant, William went to Montana & 3 or 4 siblings went to Canada, with David going to Austrailia to the gold mines, then 2 years later to New Zealand, where our family line has developed. Common family names were: Brice, Henry, James, William, John, Nathanial, Thomas, Mary, Ruth, Ellen and Sarah. If this fits your family history, then we are possibly related. I have some infomation on marriages of 4 siblings in Ireland before they migrated. Family links include McWhirr & Donnan. In NZ they include McIntyre & O'Keef. I am looking for information to fill the gaps from circ. 1780 to 2008 to extend my knowledge on my Ennis family.
