My GGGrandfather, Joseph Stanton Ennis came to the America in 1848 from Co. Cork, Ireland with his wife Jane Early of Dublin. Their son, James F. married Ann Ward and they settled in the area of Janesville, Magnolia and Brodhead, Wisconsin.
My Grandfather, James Nicholas Ennis, was born in Magnolia, Rock County, Wisconsin, on 03/24/1874.
He was one of 13 children; Ellen, Bridget, Mary Catherine, Rosanna, Edward, Daniel, Anna Elizabeth, Hubert, Julia, Martha, Amy Mary, Nicholas, and Margaret, born to James Ennis and Ann Ward from the mid 1860s until 1888.
He moved to Chicago, Illinois and had 4 children in the early 1900's, Edward, Earl, Marie and James.
