Elaine, I looked at marriage records for Johnston Co, found a Nancy Emiline Ennis married to a Sir William Honeycutt on 7 Oct 1860, then in 1880 Johnston Co., Pleasant Township, there is a Sir William Honeycutt age 48, with wife Nancy E., age 41, (that would make her being born 1839, right age for Nancy, dau of Raymond and Sarah Grimes Ennis) also listed in household are William R. age 18, son, Franklin age 13, son, Sarah Ann, age 10, dau., Earnest P., age 8, son, Nancy F., age 6, dau., Mary E., age 4, dau, Johanna E.,age 1, dau, and a Sarah Ennis, age 70, servant( could this be Sarah Grimes, Nancys mother, the age is right.
Maybe we all have Nancy married to wrong person, could not find a Nancy Ennis married to a Martin, are could I find it in Census', all I could find was Beulah Ennis that married J.F. Martin in 1910 Harnett Co, she was dau. of Lovett Ennis and Keisah Godwin. Hope to hear from you, Helen
