Ennis family in Little Rock, Ark.

I am looking for any info on the Ennis family in Little Rock, Ark., in the 1800's. I believe the original spelling was Innes. Thomas Russell/Raymon Ennis moved his family to Louisanna then to Texas, changing the spelling from Innes to Ennis. Does anyone have info as to why this happened?
Who was the siblings of Thomas? Who was his parents?
