Do you ENLOE/ENLOW researchers know about the following two books written in the 1940's?

1. A book by Col. Thomas A. Enloe of Washington, D.C. written in 1947. This book did not have a title. It is an 8 1/2 x 11 softcover book (58 pgs.) with mostly charts of ENLOE and ENLOW families.

2. "ENLOE - ENLOW - INLOW Families of America" by E. E. Enlow of Sebastopol, CA, 1948 (48 pages) with lots of census, vital, wills, cemetery etc. records.

Neither of these books are indexed. I have copies of both books sent to me by Col. Thomas A. Enloe during our extensive correspondence in the 1960's before his death.

Col. Thomas A. Enloe's research and papers were placed in the Garrett County (MD) Historical Society Libary in Oakland, MD which is located at 107 S. Second St. in Oakland, MD, about a block from the Post Office.

Col. Enloe and I corresponded on the ENSLOW family which he at one time thought might connect to the ENLOE/ENLOW family; but later proved that they did not. My interest is in the ENSLOW family of Washington Co., PA and Scioto Co., OH.....NOT the ENLOE/ENLOW please do not contact me for information on the latter families.

This message is merely to let you know about these two excellent books for early records on the ENLOE/ENLOW families. In the 1980's, I took these two books to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, UT and they filmed them. I also took my ENSLOW research and family charts there and they were filmed on Film #1597987.

Good luck with your search! I hope this helps.
