"Expectation" reportedly was surveyed for Abraham ENLOES on Oct. 10, 1698. It was a 150-acre tract on the south side of Middle River, Baltimore County, MD. I have not been able to corroborate that. I own at least four books which provide information on Baltimore land tracts, and they list several by the name of "Expectation" but show nothing concerning its association with Abraham ENLOES. Does anyone have any information that would prove that said tract was indeed surveyed for (or patented to) Abraham ENLOES (or any other ENLOES)? Was this confused with another 150-acre tract [presumably "Enloes Cove"] on the south side of Middle River, which Abraham ENLOES, planter, (with wife Elizabeth giving consent) conveyed to William Holland for 3,250 pounds tobacco on 1 April 1700? (Abraham and Elizabeth signed with their marks.) Also, if anyone has a copy of the latter document, please let me know what her mark was. On a 1713 record, she signed by "EE," and in 1716 she signed by "E." (or at least that's what the transcriptions by court clerks showed).
