The Englis family came from Ma. There are 2 John Englis in my fmaily tree. John Englis (1755-1832) of Tioga Co., died in Tioga Co., N.Y. had a son, Levi (B. 1798) who had a son Hiram M. (no dates). John's brother, Andrew R. Englis, had a son John Chester Englis (1796-1833) who had a daughter. I think you are searching the wrong branch. The name Englis by the way is Scottish. Maybe you can try NC branch.
