Shirley. Can you have given me a wonderful clue? Eight years after his arrival, Franz had followed the National Road from Baltimore as far as Franklin County Pa. where his 19 year old son, John, was made a US citzen.....

I have no documentation of Philipp's wedding, but the date and location seem logical. (He would have been 25 years old)
From Cincinnati, Philipp and Rosinna moved to a rugged farm ( beautiful hilly land near the Ohio River)at Buena Vista, Indiana. They later followed their son, John Henry, north to Lafayette, Indiana, where they are buried. I remember, as a child, talking to John Henry, who told me he was as old as Methusala.... I was too young to know that I should have asked him much more. Thank-you, Shirley. Greg
