Published in The Seattle Times Sunday March 15, 2009 Complete obituary. No photo with obituary. Matthew J. Englert Age 72, of Seattle, died March 3rd, in Lynnwood (WA) surrounded by family. Matt was born March 30, 1936 in Tacoma, WA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending his summers fishing in Alaska, especially following his retirement from AT&T after 30+ years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth; his father, brother and sister. He is survived by his daughter, Virginia (Charles) Carter; two grandchildren, Hannah and Matthew; his mother, one brother, two sisters, many nieces, nephews and friends. No services at his request, but a gathering to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 21st, at the Courtyard Marriott in Lynnwod. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Hospice of Seattle, Ducks Unlimited or your favorite charity. I am not related to this family, nor do I have any connection with them.
