I am related to a branch of the Engler family, Beatrice,Gage Co., NE. My ggrandparents were John Martin Engler b 1859 & Maria (Granetzki) Engler. They immigranted to Beatrice circa 1885 from Germany. I have some old letters postmarked Danzig & Marienburg believed to be from family (1910-1923).
I still have Engler family in Beatrice. Jerry & Roger Engler are sons of Hank Engler. I am trying to verify if there are family ties with the Joseph & Julia Engler family. The given names you mentioned are not familiar to me. I did have a great Uncle George Engler (wife Gertrude) born in Beatrice (resided there for many years) and lived in So Dakota until his death.
Ironically, I was born in McCook also.
