Hi! I have recently begun to work on my family genealogy. I do not have a lot of information but I do know that my great-great grandfather immigrated from Alsace Lourraine with his wife and at least 1 son in December of 1887. They settled in Hamilton, Ohio. His name was Emil Engler. He was born 10/26/1846. He was married to Catherine Schneider. Their son's name was Julius Engler, born 5/24/1877 in Mulhouse, Alsace Lourraine. I also know that Julius Engler was adament about being from "French" Alsace Lourraine.
Hopes this helps and we can find a connect!
Diana
