I was born and raised in Iowa. My father was Irvin Carl Engler and his father was Jacob Engler a merchant. the Engler family came from Europe and settled in Dyersville, Iowa in the late 1800's. Outside of that I believe they originated in the Alysas Loraine region of France and/or Switzerland.
