I don't know how much help it is, but go to ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/census/ia/benton/1860/2pg0126.txt and find the Ingledove families -- I believe that "Ingledove" is a mis-transcription of a handwritten "Engledow". I haven't been able to confirm it yet, but the theory I'm working on based on the ages and places of birth, is that William was born and married in Virginia, moved to Tennessee where John, T.S. (Thomas), and Emanuel were born, then they moved to Indiana were Samuel and some grandkids were born, then the families moved to Iowa where more grandkids were born.
