Searching for parents and family of John Allbutt MATTHEWS, aged 38 on his marriage in 1870 in Islington, London. He married a widow named Sarah Gardiner nee Homan, born in Coventry area abt 1833. He lists his father as Robert MATTHEWS. I have found a Robert Matthews marrying Mary ALLBUTT on 21 Nov 1822, at Ribbesford, Worcester. I wonder if my John Allbutt MATTHEWS was born in the area??
