Bosham family and illegitimate children

I would like to know if an unmarried woman, age 27, from a family in Bosham, would have gone to London to have 2 illegitimate sons, born 1810-1812. The sons have the mother's surname in later records, but have not been found in any London records. Later census records for these 2 sons state that they were born in London. The mother married in 1816 in Bosham and later resided in Hampshire. Marriage records in Hampshire for these 2 sons state father unknown.
Any ideas or opinions would be helpful.
