Is anyone else researching the Marshall family of Ranskill/East Retford. I believe that Hannah Marshall was my grandfathers birth mother. She was born in 1872 in Ranskill/East Retford, her parents were Francis and Mary Marshall and she had a sister (?)Kate. I have her in 1891, staying with her aunt and uncle, Mark and Hannah Bird with her 6/12 old son, James. In 1901, she is a housekeeper to one Albert Roper in Ranskill, James is no longer with her but Mark and Hannah Bird have a 10 year old son, James. Pretty remarkable considering Hannah Bird is 63 years old at that point !
