Thomas NEWHAM c1900 & Eliza NOLAN-Nottingham

Hello all - trying to make a start on my husbands family history as a 50th b/day gift.
His grandfather was Thomas born circa 1900 and he married an Eliza or Elizabeth NOLAN, on eof 13 children i am led to believe. They lived in and around Nottingham and Eliza is buried in Bulwell cemetery.
Thomas was a bit of a wanderer and drinker allegedly and may have died in prison in the late 40s early 50s.
Eliza's family were said to be from Cork but may have lived in Scotland after coming to the 'mainland'.
I am in the process of getting certs etc but does anyone out there recognize the families and can help me put 'flesh on't bones'!!!
