My great great grandfather John Brown arrived in Australia 1837 on the prison ship "John" a convict after being sentened to 7 years for "Ships Robbery" and transported. According to the Convict Database he came from Norfolk and was a Gun Maker by trade and born about 1815. I am looking for possible relations, a date of birth and the names of his parents.
In 1841, he married Susannah Seymour and changed his name to William Charles Brown. He was also known as Tinker Brown.
Does anyone have any information?
