Hi David,
Norfolk marriages 1801-1837 CD shows William Cotts married Frances Newton 10th May 1827 at Thurning. There are only 4 Cotts marriages shown, William Cotts married Mary Milliken at Guist 19th October 1801 might help with previous generation. Both places within 5 miles of Wood Norton. Shows a William Cotts baptised 4th November 1804 at Guist son of William and Maria- could be yours.
