Afternoon Dianna.

Checking the Travel & Migration records on Find My Past, the address given on the Scanned IMAGE of the Ship's Manifest,is-
"50 Perrwood Road"

which I suggest is an erroneous/mis-heard version of "50 Perry Wood Road".

(There is also another address on the Manifest, 30 Maxted Road, for Doris and Paul and also Paul, the latter being at the foot of the previous sacnned page.)

--------

Assuming that "50 Perry Wood Road" is correct, go to Google Earth or Google Street View; and use that address to bring up that street.

Then use the "Manikin" to enter the actual street-level view of the road.

On Google Earth, it first shows the opposite/north side of the road, about #31 (ODD-numbered side of the road), with the sun shining on the front of the houses; and they are slightly below road-level.

Rorate the view so that you are looking at the Even-Numbered houses on the opposite side, they are slightly higher than the road; and their front faces are in shadow.

The first even-numbered house in that view, ie opposite #31, is #56.

Navigate left slightly and you will find #50.

To do that "navigate left", rotate further so that you see the White Trail Line on the screen; and click on that a little further down the road, then rotate to the houses; and you hopefully will see #50 (quite prominent on/at door).

-----------------------

n Google Earth, there are also aerial surveys from 1945; and i have confirmed that the house existed then, probably built in the 1930s.

Your next step would be to do a "Screen Capture", using a Graphics Program.

If you have no experience of that procedure, contact me at my e-mail address - Click on my Name at top-left of this Genforum posting.

Regarding the photo with "the 4 of them in it", I suggest that you contact Birmingham Libraries-

http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/centrallibrary

=================================

I have checked "30 Maxted Road" o GE - its style suggestd a more recent build, 1970s or 1980s; and checking the GE 1945 Aerial Survey, the area generally is much less built-up.
