My name is Wayne N.Parker and I am trying to find information on the Parker family of Barley, Hertfordshire that may have came to Virginia, USA in the early 1600's to 1700's. The names of William,Richard,Thomas and Francis Parker of Nansemond Co., Virginia are names are passed down several generations in this line of Parker. Some of the names above are common to the Parker family of Hertfordshine.
Another researcher(Andrew C.Wells) and I are trying to find the ancestors of William Parker and Richard Parker. I thought that William Parker was father of Richard but now we think Richard may be a cousin of William. Andrew has been looking at Christening records from England and the Parker of Hertfordshire look very promising for this time frame and the names of the above Parker family are common to both Hertfordshire and Virginia.
I am also interested in any information about any of the Parker of Hertfordshire that anyone would care to share with me.
I live in Texas, USA and have been researching my Parker family since 1991.

Wayne N.Parker

researcher for P239 of FG#7 Parker Y-DNA Project.
