Here are a few leads that may help.

Your Walter Fyson from Wood Ditton may be related to the Walter Fisson mentioned in the book “The History and Atiquities of the Name and Family of Kilbourn” by Payne Kenyon Kilbourne, 1856. There on page 49, under “Extracts from the Parish Register of Wood Ditton, Co. Cambridge” is this item: “1574, Oct. 3 – Married – Walter Fisson to Joan Kilborne.” Joan Kilborne/Kilbourn was sister to Thomas Kilbourn (see below).

There was a William Fisson who in 1632 married Mary Pratt, who was b. 1611 in Wood Ditton. She was the dau of John Pratt and Elizabeth Moody. Eliz Moody sister- in-law to Thos Kilbourn of Wood Ditton

The following excerpt from the web site “Cambridgeshire Archives and Local Studies: CALM on-line catalogue”:

CALM - Record details
Creator Name - Wood Ditton Parish Church;

Memoranda of distribution of various legacies: gift of Walter Pratt senior, 30s. yearly, 1626 - 1639 gift of John Kilburne, 6s.8d. yearly, 1626 - 1633, 1635, 1638 - 1639 gift of Walter Fison of Stetchworth, 10s. 1633 gift of Thomas Appleyard, late of Dullingham, 13s.4d. 1654 gift of William Fison of Wood Ditton, yeoman, deceased, 20s.4d. 1662 (see Charity Commissioners Report, 1837 - Lost Charities, Wood Ditton). (The outer edges of most pages are torn and crumpled). (Repaired January 1983).”

And there is this from the National Archives web site in the UK

Will of Walter Fisson or Fison of Stetchworth, Cambridgeshire
•       Reference:
PROB 11/164/330
•       Description:
Will of Walter Fisson or Fison of Stetchworth, Cambridgeshire
•       Date:
03 September 1633
•       Held by:
The National Archives, Kew
Legal status:
Public Record

Also, see “Annals of Cambridge by Charles Henry Cooper, vol III.” See footnote 1 on p 641, mentions several Fysons, incl. Walter of Wood Ditton, William of Dullingham, Henry of Stetchworth, and a William Claydon of Newmrket. Here I guess the time period might have been circa 1688. This is the link:
