George Lenny in your other thread was born in Romford Essex c 1814, but I can't see a baptism for him. There's a baptism though of a Maria Lenny in Romford on 15 Jan 1812, daughter of Charles (no mother named on the IGI). It might be a complete red herring, but there's a marriage of Charles Lenny and Maria Cable in Hacheston,? Suffolk on 2 Jan 1809, which might be worth investigating, although Hacheston is nearly 80 miles from Romford. I can't see any other likely marriages though, in London, Middlesex, or elsewhere.
Hang about though! There were two Charles Lennys born at about the same time. In 1851 living in Stapleford Abbots, presumably the same one who you found there in 1841, was Charles Lenny a widower aged 65 born Middlesex, with a daughter Elizabeth 32 born Orsett Essex. TheIGI shows various children baptised in Orsett to Charles and Elizabeth. The NBI shows a Charles Linny age 74 buried at Stapleford Abbots on 12 Jan 1860. The other Charles Lenny in 1851 lived at Chipping Barnet age 67 born Suffolk, with wife Mary. He died on 24 Jan 1860 and probate was granted on 15 Feb 1860 to Mary Lenny, widow of Charles. How do you know which of these two Charles is yours, the father of George?
David
