Sonia,
I had a chance to spend some time looking at your message.
The marriage to Louisa might be a first marriage. From what I recently learned, his first child was named Louisa and in 1850, she was 22. That would mean she was born 1828, 4 years after the recorded marriage you have mentioned. I need to investigate a bit more.
My Mom had put together some very detailed records regarding her family but only traced it from Edmond’s son William Peter Cherrington. William was born in 1835 in Boston which would indicate that Edmond and wife – Tryphena, emigrated before that time. Did Louisa pass away after the birth of daughter Louisa? Can’t tell from the information I have. There was another child – Lilla, born about 1832, also in Boston. Also, Edmond and family do not seem to be in the 1831 England censes so it would appear they emigrated before then. Something occurred between 1828 and 1831. Did Edmond marry Louisa as a 1st wife? The 1st daughters name kind of points that way……
Thanks – you have been very helpful
