I think you are right, and I have her birth wrong it was ca 1775 not ca 1795.
Only thing I found on a New Brunswick census is there son stewart Gibson was born 1814 Ireland, his first name shows up stuart at times.
I know that stewart Gibson married rebecca jane Evans, but I have no marriage date, and I have no idea if they married in Ireland or New Brunswick. ( only other info is rebecca jane Evans was daughter of a james Evans and margaret King)
I do know that stewart Gibson & rebecca jane Evans had a daughter named margaret king Gibson born 1837 in New Brunswick.she married john russell Blair in 1863 in New Brunswick.
I have all the proper info from margaret king Gibson & john russell Blair and there decendants.
But trying to go back from her parents stewart Gibson & rebecca jane Evans,Was told by family his parents were alexander Gibson & janet Moore.
was told rebecca jane Evans parents were james Evans and margaret King.
Thankyou for having a look and I will see if I can keep digging up records from New Brunswick and see if one of the records has where they truly came from.
apparently alexander Gibson married to janet Moore, his father supposly farmed for the McGuires.
and apparently alexander Gibson & janet Moore owned a farm in Ireland and sold it in 1818 or just before that year.
but like you say I must try to find more detailed records in New Brunswick and start over.
Our family says that the marriage between alexander Gibson and janet Moore was a forbidden romance.
