William Lawrence, born England, POW, died Savannah, GA, 1812

I came across this in the Republican and Savannah Evening Ledger, Savannah, GA, dated Sept. 29, 1812, P. 3:

"Died, at the Poor-House and Hospital, on the 27th inst. William Lawrence, a British prisoner, belonging to the prize ship, Diana, born in England, aged 42 years."

I am not related, but saw it doing some other research and thought it might help someone. I have no other information.
