Thank you very much for answering my plea. I had found one Elizabeth Blacklock on the BMD but could not be certain it was the one I wanted. I had not quite decided whether to send for a birth certificate. Thought I would wait until I had more information that would, perhaps, give me a more certain possibility. The expence involved to order the certificates from this "side of the pond" made me hesitate before ordering.

I had another response to my request and this does make me feel more certain I have the correct Elizabeth. She was listed in the 1881 census as "Lizzie". I never thought of the connection between the two names. I feel we have the correct family and this gives me the parents and siblings.

I do appreciate hearing from. Thanks.
